As a Tribute to the brave and resilient people of Japan, reconstructing steadily after the recent natural disaster, the Consulate General of India in Osaka, with the support of City of Osaka and India Tourist Office Tokyo, would organize a concert of Indian music and dances in Osaka titled 'Kala Mahotsav- A Concert For Hope', on May 21, 2011, between 1530 hours to 1845 hours. Through this programme, we would evdeavour to provide an environment of inspiration, hope and entertainment to the people of Japan.
There will be continuous cultural programmes, ranging from Indian classical dances –from Bhartnatyam, Odissi, Kathak, Bollywood Dances- to Indian instrumental music- both classical as well as fusion of Indian music with western music. While most of these programmes shall be performed by the expert Japanese artistes, trained under renowned Indian Gurus in India, Indian musicians and dancers would also perform during the show.
